According to Wikipedia, Duotone is “Duotone is a halftone reproduction of an image using the superimposition of one contrasting color halftone over another color halftone. This is most often used to bring out middle tones and highlights of an image. Traditionally the superimposed contrasting halftone color is black and the most commonly implemented colors are blue, yellow, brown, and red, however there are many varieties of color combinations used.”
We were recently contacted by Health Management Associates to create a number of black and white images they could use on their collateral and internal websites. It made me think about this new trend and how it could be used in the corporate world. The company was having an annual company event where everyone from all over the United States had a chance to meet each other all in one place, face-to-face. They were hoping to capture some natural business lifestyle images they could use to add to their company specific stock image library.
